MSMS/MSHS PAC

MSSD14 6-12 PAC Core Values

Relationships:
Build relationships between students, families, and D14 at large, by fostering Manitou community connections

Opportunity:

  • educate parents about the opportunities that exist for their students
  • communicate and celebrate the experiences that are happening in our schools and community
  • enable parents to support students in taking advantage of opportunities to become involved with each other and the community and connecting with the world
  • encourage parents to help create the next opportunity for students

Deep Learning:

  • preparedness for student success
  • foster communication between student parent and teachers
  • utilize all opportunities to pursue the first two bullets

Encompass a student culture of immersive opportunities for students and parents by utilizing mentorships to help every student get prepared for what success means for them.

Using available resources to enhance student’s motivation and value in learning relevant yet exciting content; not just college bound but interest or career based.

Building a supportive network between the parent, teacher, and student develops innovative learning opportunities to meet the unique desires and interests of students.

Hello Manitou Families!
We hope you all have been enjoying the longer days of Spring since clocks sprung forward last week. With the longer days, it’s definitely tempting to start thinking about the warmer days of summer that are less than 60 days away (according to my kids - but who’s counting). We would encourage you, however, to not start mentally preparing yourselves for the lazy days of summer quiet yet as we still have a lot of exciting opportunities this
school year. Please take a moment to read through the updates below and get involved as we continue to support our students, staff, and school community.

Fuel our Schools!

February Mini Grant Goodness:
Last months PAC meeting had a handful of requests from our passionate educators for items that ranged from more books to Board Games with a dose of monthly reading challenge prizes thrown in to keep our kids coming back for more. These grants continue to be possible due to the generosity of parents like you and our ever successful Holiday Silent Auction!
